Action Zone is an area of the park that is hallowed ground, indeed. It has had its share of world class attractions over the years. In 1984, the first ever stand up looping roller coaster on the planet stood where Delirium is today, King Cobra. In 2000, Kings Island built the first ever hyper wooden rollercoaster with a loop, Son of Beast! In 2014 Kings Island built arguably one of the best inverted Roller Coasters in the world, Banshee. In 1999 the park built the highest Gyro drop tower in the world( a record that still stands today), Drop Tower. So, when you’re at KI in Action Zone, just think about the greatness that this area of the park has had throughout the years.
